Quick story: It was the summer of 2016 and I was searching for my way. I had recently been rejected from graduate school and was working full time at a cement plant. To by time, I would often play PokemonGo. I love to tell this story to students to remind them that you never know where like will take you. A friend called out to me. I looked up and confirm his. Connor? He told me it he back down south to scout for his graduate thesis film. We reminisced about BCNtv and how Mark was doing. He later asked if I would like to be on his crew for his film. I said I would love to. I’ll be a PA just to help out where I can. Later that night, his producer called and asked if I wanted to to be the 2nd AC. I was more than elated. Needless to say, but this experience reenergized my efforts for my film school application …and the rest history. Kudzu will always have a special place in my heart.
